Unpaid Internship - WSIS Forum 2027 - Junior Project Officer (Social Media and Digital Marketing)

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is inviting applications for a six-month Junior Project Officer internship specializing in social media and digital marketing for the WSIS Forum 2027. Located at ITU headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, this position is embedded within the Strategic Planning and Membership Department of the General Secretariat. The intern will support international outreach, create multimedia campaigns, and assist in executing global digital marketing strategies. Eligible applicants must be under 30 years of age, citizens of an ITU Member State, and either currently enrolled in a university program or recent graduates. No prior professional experience is required, though candidates should demonstrate fluency in written English, a strong understanding of main social communication channels, and familiarity with graphic and analytics tools. Running from January 18 to July 16, 2027, this full-time role offers an immersive learning experience within the United Nations system. As an unremunerated opportunity, candidates are expected to cover their own living, medical, accommodation, and travel costs during their time in Geneva.
