SECURITY OFFICER, FS6

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) is seeking a Security Officer at the Field Service FS-6 level to be stationed in Naqoura, Lebanon. Operating under the general supervision of the Chief Security Officer (CSO), the incumbent will oversee localized security operations, conduct risk evaluations, and implement contingency protocols to ensure the safety of UN personnel, assets, and official dependents in a complex field environment. Key responsibilities involve preparing security risk management documentation, leading emergency response coordination, overseeing facility guard forces, and supporting physical security logistics during mission transition phases. The officer will also manage incident investigations, evaluate air, land, and sea evacuation capabilities, and specify operational requirements for security equipment procurement. This position offers qualified international security practitioners an opportunity to deliver critical operational protection within peace enforcement mission structures. The appointment is for a limited duration of 364 days, providing valuable crisis-management exposure within the international civil service framework.
