The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is seeking a qualified Cybersecurity Operations Officer at the P4 grade level within its Information Services Department at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. This position is offered under a two-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension, providing an exceptional career opportunity within the UN system. The selected officer will be responsible for hands-on operational management of ITU's cybersecurity infrastructure, security services, and key technical projects. Main duties include overseeing a 24/7 Security Operations Center managed through an external Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), driving incident response workflows, and modernizing security systems such as SIEM, NGFW, and EDR solutions. Additionally, the role covers managing security risks tied to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and large language models, while aligning operations with ITU's digital transformation strategy.
