Procurement Officer, P3

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is recruiting a Procurement Officer (P-3 level) to lead its Middle East and North Africa Procurement Hub based in Cairo, Egypt. Operating within the Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa (ROMENA), the successful candidate will supervise regional purchasing functions and report directly to the Chief Procurement Officer in Vienna while coordinating with regional leadership. Key duties include overseeing end-to-end procurement processes for complex contracts, infrastructure projects, specialized technical equipment, and long-term service agreements. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert in contract negotiations, bid evaluation, compliance with UN Financial Regulations, and implementation of corporate e-tendering and management tools across regional program offices.
