Budget Officer - Fixed Term - FO West Bank (Grade 16)

UNRWA is seeking a qualified Budget Officer (Grade 16) to join its Field Finance Office in the West Bank. Reporting directly to the Deputy Head Field Finance Office, the selected candidate will oversee the field program budget and external grants. Core duties involve monitoring budget execution, guiding assigned finance staff, conducting expenditure reviews, and maintaining financial compliance in accordance with Agency procedures. To qualify for this position, applicants must hold a university degree in finance, accountancy, or business administration, along with at least six years of professional experience in accounting or financial management, including three years at a supervisory level. Candidates must currently reside in the West Bank or Jerusalem with existing legal authorization to work, as UNRWA will not facilitate work permits. This position offers a initial one-year fixed-term contract with possibility of extension.
